In today’s construction and industrial settings, it’s common to see a wide range of lifting equipment used to complete tasks safely and efficiently. Broadly speaking, lifting solutions can be divided into two main categories: portable and fixed systems.
While both serve the same core purpose, each comes with distinct characteristics and advantages that should be carefully evaluated before choosing the most suitable option for your specific application.
To help make this process easier, here’s a table we’ve created for you to quickly review the key considerations you might think about when selecting the right lifting products for your needs.
In fast-paced industries where sites change, timelines tighten, and conditions can be extreme, a fixed overhead gantry crane isn’t always the best fit. Portable gantry solutions offer the mobility, speed, and adaptability modern projects demand, delivering safe, high-capacity lifting without the cost and constraints of fixed infrastructure.
Read are article now to discover why choosing a portable gantry could be the smartest investment you make.
Our products are backed by numerous certifications, demonstrating our commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with international standards. Each lifting solution undergoes rigorous testing and meets recognised certifications and relevant industry-specific approvals; plus we are members of accredited bodies.
These credentials provide assurance that every product is engineered for reliability, built to perform under demanding conditions, and compliant with stringent safety regulations worldwide.
We installed davit cranes across three schools in Abu Dhabi. These units are positioned on the rooftop to safely lift materials and equipment between the roof and the ground.
The davit cranes will be used for handling small and medium-sized equipment such as pumps, motors, and even chillers during maintenance or breakdown situations. Previously, the schools relied on hiring mobile cranes whenever lifting was required, however, due to strict safety regulations on school premises and the limitations of mobile cranes in such environments, an alternative solution was needed.
After evaluating the site conditions and understanding their challenges, Rigid Crane Services proposed a TDavit solution with multiple fixed sockets to provide flexibility and ease of use. Following several meetings and a live video demonstration, the client approved the concept and proceeded with the order, confident that the solution would significantly improve both safety and operational efficiency.
