Stuart Linnitt, Sales Director at REID Lifting
From spending time on the road in Europe to organising conference calls with the Middle East, Stuart Linnitt, Sales Director at REID Lifting shares an insight in to his daily working life.
Working Day
If I’m working at the Chepstow office, then I like to be in there just after 7.30 so that I can walk the shop floor and catch up with the operations team before I get the mailbox open and start dealing with the priority correspondence and checking sales progress.
I normally meet with the internal sales team on projects and progress at 8.30 and, if it’s a Monday, then it’s a face to face or online ‘business cadence meeting’ at 9 with operations and external sales to agree our weekly priorities.
I’m regularly on the road in Europe doing customer sales demos and presentations and if I’m heading off on one of those trips, then I’ll check with my colleagues early on to make sure the famous REID Sprinter van is fully loaded with gantries, davits, collateral and of course PPE.
During the course of the day I could then be doing anything from organising a conference call with colleagues and customers on personnel access and pump lift out solutions at a new waste water treatment plant in the Middle East, to joining a new product development meeting in our conference room.
Once the van is ready though, I normally head off mid-afternoon to make sure I arrive at the hotel en-route to the Freight Chunnel in the early evening, with plenty of time for a quick call with our US team while they are still in their office.
